La VOR se pare ca nu mai afiseaza traseul facut de la start :rolleyes:

Au pierdut datele dupa ce le-au crapat serverele o zi intreaga. Nici acum nu merg ca lumea, mie mi se pare ca mai nou calculele de pozitie nu se mai fac la 10 minute ci la 20 sau 30.

In a satellite phone conversation at 19.00hr UTC Derek Hatfield informed his shore crew and race organizers that he was unable to continue racing due to electrical problems. He has turned around and is headed back to Les Sables d’Olonne for repairs, he will assess the damage after arrival in port. We will keep you updated with a report once he arrives.

In nici un caz nu are nici o treaba cu UTC-ul de inainte de inghesuiala din '89.

UTC este time-zone-ul de referinta. Este practic acelasi lucru cu GMT dar fara a tine cont de ora de vara decalata (DST*).

Deci pe timp de iarna UTC = GMT, iar pe timp de vara (cand intra ora de vara DST*) avem UTC = GMT-1h

Noi avem timezone-ul GMT+2, deci pe timp de iarna avem UTC+2, iar pe timp de vara UTC+3.

*DST = Daylight Saving Time, ora oficiala de vara in mai multe tari - e schimbarea ceasului inainte/inapoi pentru a ne sincroniza cu lumina soarelui.

Pentru ca nu toate tarile adopta schimbarea orei (DST) - pentru ca sunt mai aproape de Ecuator si nu e cazul - pentru referinta se foloseste UTC in loc de "clasicul GMT", tocmai pentru ca vara zona GMT este decalata cu o ora fata de UTC.

Aceasta referinta comuna, fara a tine cont de zonele orare si ora de vara e utila cand se fac manipuleaza date/ore din mai multe locatii diferite.

Of the 30 skippers who started the Vendée Globe at 1302hrs on Sunday off Les Sables d’Olonne, Alex Thomson is the seventh to have been forced to turn back to the Vendée start port.

Severe weather on the Bay of Biscay, with big, confused seas has hit the fleet. In the afternoon of Monday 10th November and evening winds are reported to have reached 45 to 50 knots.

Summary of the entrants who have had to return, or are making towards Les Sables d’Olonne:

DominIque Wavre, Temenos II: had an electrical problem and returned to Les Sables d’Olonne. He returned to the race course late in the evening of Sunday 9th November.

Bernard Stamm, Cheminées Poujoulat: had a collision with a cargo ship, returned to Les Sables d’Olonne during the night of 9th/10th November. Damage to bowsprit.

Michel Desjoyeaux, Foncia: electrical and engine problems following a leak from a water ballast tank, expected to arrive in Les Sables d’Olonne during the night 10/11 November.

Jean- Baptiste Dejeanty, Group Maisoneuve: damage to deck reported during the morning of Monday 10th November. Arrival expected in Les Sables d’Olonne on the morning of 11th November.

Derek Hatfield, Algimouss Spirit of Canada: electrical problems during the afternoon/evening of Monday 10th November. Expected to return to Les Sables d’Olonne during the morning 11th November.

Yannick Bestaven, Aquarelle.com: dismasted reported during the evening of Monday 10th November. Arrival expected Les Sables d’Olonne during the night of 11th or 12th November.

Kito de Pavant, Groupe Bel: dismasted during the evening of Monday 10th November, arrival could be in Les Sables d’Olonne during the night of 11th to 12th November

Alex Thomson, Hugo Boss: structural problem in the evening of Monday 10th November, arrival predicted in Les Sables d’Olonne during the night of 11th/12th November.

Derek Hatfield-Spirit of Canada, has arrived in Les Sables d'Olonne after some damage to the boat has caused him to return for repairs. This race allows competitors to return to the start line for repairs, the competitors have 10 days to return to racing to remain qualified in the race.

We have had a rough look at the boat after arrival with a plan to do a more detailed job list in the morning, the biggest concern of course is budget whether we can afford to keep racing. We are getting some much needed help from both Ecover with parts and Bahrain Team Pindar's technical team. The returning boats of which there are 6 are lucky that most of the shore teams are still in town so they are banding together in groups to help get the sailors back out on the race course as soon as possible. Three boats have dismasted and are out of the race, they must be just gutted.

Multumim pentru raspunsul si mai detaliat. De multe ori, din mare criza de timp si mai putin din convenienta este mai usor sa spui vreo doua vorbe dupa care sa pui cartea in bratele cuiva cu subintelesul "descurca-te!" :) Stii tu,
"cauta si vei afla, cere si vei primi, bate si ti se va deschide".

Sper ca x_petrlolist sa nu se manieze. :)

Pai deaia e forum, fiecare ajuta cu ce poate. Aici la UTC chiar lucrez des cu chestia asta :D

salut Simba si Smokey si multumesc pentru raspunsuri. singurul lucru care ma poate minia este ca nu am facut o cautare pe net inainte sa pun intrebarea.

Si pe mine ma surprinde. Interesanta va fi decizia celor care participa pentru prima data la Vendee, s-au ales doar "defectiuni" dar nu "vor reusi" sa treaca din nou linia de start in termenul stabilit, 10 zile.

Cei trei skipperi carora le-au zburat catargele sunt de inteles si compatimit dar totusi, cum de naiba le-au zburat catargele?

A dat vreun pirat cu vreun tunulet financiar in ele?

Intriga si suspans la Vendee 2008! :):):)
